You guys are a laughable bunch of bafoons.
Fear mongering is the only agenda you have. Your science is flawed - cold weather be damned - the earth is still warming. When Dec, Jan, Feb start to feel like June, July and Aug - Ill jump on your bandwagon. Until that happens, this New Yorker aint changing.
For the record - for every piece of plastic you recycle - I take to the dump!

All the electric energy generated from fossil fuels is directly and indirectly used by you and me, and by every human-consumer in developed and developing countries. Direcly when we turn on a light bulb (maybe a dozen of these) to light our garden every afternoon (doesn't it look nice). Indirectly when we decide the garden doesn't look nice enough so we change all the lightning system and the garden furniture. Didn't you know that all the companies that manufactured the new lights, electric wires and conduits, leather pillows, wood furniture, etc. used the same electric energy that we did, generated with fossil fuels just so we could have our gardens looking nice :)
As long as we keep consuming like crazy, energy, manufactured goods, natural resources and all kind of stuff that we don't necessarily need, we can just keep on making statistics and protesting against CO2 producers, because it's not going to be our fault.
Besides we all need and want a quick reactivation of the global economy, get back to those great growing rates we had some years ago.

I live right near the Capitol Power Plant and am noticing an ever increasing sulfur type of smell. I have been here for four years and the smell has never been worse. Not sure if this is related to the carbon emissions or something else. Just want to make sure your group is aware of the changes going on at this facility.

What a valuable resourse CARMA is! Thank you so much for your efforts.

I hope that the DC protests are just the start. These were largely symbolic actions. Let's hope that more substantive actions and political reactions occur in the future.
