It is pleasant to see someone writing who has an idea of what they are writing about. Too many just write green stuff with little or no thought involved.

Michael Reynolds shares his experiences from being at the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference.
"I just read this executive order copy from the governor of california, Arnold Schwarzenegger about Sea Levels rising, etc.

It is not out of the question that this method be used to move forward in todays world. It is clear that nothing tangible will happen here in Copenhagen between all the countries to effect climate ...change.

Just last year, I was complaining to colleagues about how there wasn't a list of power plants in Europe.

I just found this site today and am completely impressed. You also have a great policy of allowing the data to be accessed easily.

Thank you for the data (which will be used for academic research purposes). I will let CARMA know how the data will be used.

Thanks

Lawrence-

It will be great if the forthcoming reporting data allows CARMA to expand and stay timely.

And, frankly, if the new EPA system does not have open APIs to encourage data reuse and application development, CARMA may have a key role to play for a long time!

FYI - a different project along these lines is a global energy system open database being developed by researchers at Los Alamos National Lab. What is interesting is the collaborative nature of it - many parties can log on to play a role in filling in the data. See my blog post on this:
