CARMA v3.0 now available!
A new and improved version of the Carbon Monitoring for Action (CARMA) database is now available to the public at CARMA.org. It includes power generation and emissions data – both reported figures and model estimates – for more the 60,000 power plants worldwide. CARMA v3.0 reports figures for 2004, 2009, and the future. Over the next week, a series of blog posts will explore the new data, notable improvements and features, and known issues and limitations. If you haven’t already, be sure to sign up for the CARMA newsletter to be notified of future releases and important news. If you have questions about the data or website, I suggest you peruse the About CARMA section. And if you notice any errors or omissions – or have suggestions for how to improve things – feel free to contact me.
If you are new to CARMA, there is a video tutorial to get you started navigating the site. Happy hunting!
